jamesgriffin3.jpgMany are familiar with the child’s game Simon says. Quite simply, you are to do everything Simon says without question and are thrown out of the game the first time you follow a command without first being told to perform it by Simon. The winner is the last one in the game who has instantly followed everything Simon said, but has not done a single thing without that magic incantation “Simon says” preceding it.

"Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now." (Gal 4:28,29)

The rendezvous point was the sun-drenched coasts of Magdala, Mary Magdalen's hometown. The air and the shoreline were dotted with squawking sea gulls given that at the time of Christ Magdala was known for its prosperous fisheries. The disciples joyfully approached Jesus; Jesus looked at them with great determination and said, "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees." (Matt 16:6)" I can almost hear Peter saying, "Dude, who forgot the bread again?" Jesus had also warned them earlier in Matthew 13, that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

family_pictures_2006_007b.jpgThe totality of a life's summation can only be understood within the context of the strategic and divinely apportioned intervals that are the substance of it's contents.  Apart from these NOW "moments of destiny" there really can be no future; for each of them are creative grounds, that hold within their possession the seminal qualities of all that the future promises.
